Most of our customers who operate local brands prefer to buy rims directly from us, and then they can assemble the wheels locally, with flexible wheels, spokes, painting operations and testing laboratories.

However, if you don't know how to assemble the wheel, or you don't have the right tools to assemble, you can chat anytime before placing an order. Here are some tips for you

• The type of rim, including width, depth, weight, test report, finishing, tube/open clamp/tubeless ready.
• Transportation methods and taxation issues. (As we discussed in our China Carbon Fiber Bike Buying Guide, you need to ask the carrier and taxes)
• Rim package. Check the sample package picture to avoid further problems.
• Warranty. You need to understand that the rim is not like a frame, it is more likely to damage the rim (such as scratches or hitting a stone). If the rim is damaged by scratching the rim or hitting a stone, you will not get any refund or replacement. Therefore, when you receive the package, please check the rim carefully.

Our suggestion: Remember, the rim is not a frame. If you want to get good rims, be sure to check these tips before placing an order.

# Used Carbon Wheelset

If you want to ask any bike enthusiast what they think about buying second-hand carbon fiber wheels, their answer may be the same-you are brave. However, if you decide to buy a second-hand carbon fiber wheelset, make sure to check for cracks and any exposed fiber-broken surfaces.

As a carbon fiber bicycle manufacturer, we strongly recommend that you inspect the wheels and ride before buying a used carbon fiber wheel set. Carbon fiber rims are stronger than aluminum rims, but are more likely to be scratched or damaged.

The following are some tips for buying second-hand carbon wheels (although we do not recommend buying)

• Clean the surface and check for scratches
• Check the brake surface (if you buy a rim brake wheel set)
• Remove the tire and check the rim edge, spoke holes and rim serial number label.
• Check the spokes for any distortion
• Check whether there is any abnormal noise in the sound of the wheel hub.
• Use your own bike rack to ride. Try to test on uphill, downhill, and emergency braking.

With these tips, you may find that some used carbon fiber wheels are in good condition, but in general, we recommend that you buy new rims or wheels. After all, not everyone is as professional as a mechanic.
